Gene Zrinyi
Financial Advisor
Gene is a Wintersville, OH native and a 1994 graduate of Indian Creek High School. His passion for finance began at 18 when he bought his first stock.
Gene received his bachelor's in business administration (BBA) majoring in Finance from Kent State University. He also holds a master’s in business administration (MBA), with a concentration in finance, from Colorado State University.
Gene began his career in financial services in 1998 interning at Scottsdale Securities, which became Scottrade in 2000. This is when his desire to help others pursue their financial goals started to grow. He spent nearly 20 years helping investors at Scottrade where he was a President’s cup award winner and member of the manger’s focus group. When Scottrade was acquired by TD Ameritrade in 2018, Gene decided to become an independent advisor at Equitable Advisors where he began to focus on financial planning and other aspects of the financial planning process such as tax strategies, retirement income and risk management. In 2021, Gene relocated back to the Steubenville area to join Tri-State Financial Services.
Gene works with his clients in many areas including financial planning, investing, retirement planning, education savings, life insurance, long-term care insurance and group retirement and benefits.
Gene holds his series 7, 24, 63, and 66 registrations with FINRA and his life, health, and annuity license.
Outside of the office Gene strives to be involved in the local community. Gene is a member of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce where he serves as an Ambassador. Gene is on the Board of Directors for United Way of Jefferson County, Kiwanis Club of Steubenville and the Follansbee Chamber of Commerce. Gene and his life partner, Mary Parsons, reside on their 32-acre hobby farm in Eldersville, PA. Gene enjoys hiking, fishing and working around their farm.
